To book an appointment online on our website, go to the “Book Now” heading at the top of the page, complete the required information, and send it.

5. Why do I need to complete and submit a “General Information Sheet”?

Student Information:

We need to know your child’s information so that we know the grade they are in and can provide help and resources based on their grade level. We ask for “interests/hobbies” in an effort to relate these to the work being done in our sessions so that students are more engaged with the work being done (for example, providing a math problem solving question about cars because the student is interested in cars).

Parent/Guardian Information:

We need to know your information so that we know who the parent(s)/guardian(s) of the student are that drop off and pick up the student from sessions. Your information also allows us to communicate with you for setting up future tutoring/music sessions.

6. Do you provide instruments for music lessons or do I have to bring my own?

On site, we have a keyboard and bucket drums for practice. For flute and recorder lessons, your own instruments are required.

7. How do I know what my child has learned in a tutoring/music session?

We provide a lesson plan summary sheet to parents/guardians at the end of each session. This lesson plan summary sheet summarizes several things including the material/concept(s) covered, and the type of work that the student completed (e.g., written, reading, verbal, worksheet, activity, etc.).

8. Is there a fee for a missed/cancelled appointment?

If you need to cancel a lesson, please let us know ASAP otherwise you may be charged for the lesson even if you have not attended. No shows and last minute cancellations will be subject to the full cost of the lesson of that day.

9. What materials should my child bring to tutoring/music sessions?

Tutoring Sessions:

  • Books/Work Sheets
  • Homework and Homework Materials (if homework help is needed)

Music Lessons:

  • Instrument (if playing a flute or recorder)
  • Instrumental Music Book

10. Where do tutoring/music lessons take place?

Tutoring sessions may take place at our location OR at the student’s home. Music lessons take place at our location unless the student has their own instrument at their home. Speak to us to for available options and arrangements.
